"Sunshine Campus - Kindergarten Stationing Social Work Service (Wong Tai Sin and Sai Kung District Team)"

 

The Pilot Scheme on Social Work Service for Pre-primary Institutions was implemented in 2019 to support children and their families in need. Due to its effective results, the scheme was regularized in August 2023.

 

The social work service of kindergartens in Sai Kung will be regularized and The Boys’ & Girls’ Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) will provide school social work services in our school from 1st August 2024 onwards.  BGCA, established in 1936, is dedicated to the welfare of children and youth.  In 2004, it commenced offering school social work services, which include casework, groups, support programmes, and teacher training in kindergartens.  In addition, in February 2019, it started providing preschool social work services, benefiting over 9,000 people.

 

We will notify our parents about the school social work service details through the school notice in the upcoming school year. We aim to provide support to all parents and children for the healthy development of our children.

 

Scope of services:
To deliver multi-level educational and support services to children, parents and teachers. Examples include: individual counselling to students and parents, small group seminars for students and parents, and parent-child activities, etc.
